Parts of Weston-super-Mare were flooded and homes suffered power outages after a massive downpour during Storm Miguel on Friday evening.

Following a call for an immediate response to reduce the risk of danger to property and vehicles, the PMG Services “out of hours” team along with 3 large vacuum tankers were mobilised and arrived on site to assess the situation. The team worked through the night until the early hours of Saturday morning to remove in excess of 240,000 litres of rainwater reducing the risk of damage to homes and property and allowing the flood levels to recede naturally via the roadside gullies.
